Coca-Cola Europe undergoes major business restructure

Coca-Cola is undergoing a major pan-European business restructure, which could affect several marketing roles within the organisation.

The soft drinks giant has confirmed it is reviewing up to 150 jobs as part of the restructure. It is understood that marketing positions will be included within the review.

In a statement, the company says: “On 24 March, Coca-Cola Europe informed employees of plans to simplify the structure of the business to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The changes, which are subject to consultation with employees, could result in up to 150 roles being affected across the 38 countries in which Coca-Cola Europe operates.”

Commenting on the changes, Dominique Reiniche, president of Coca-Cola Europe, says: “The changes we have announced will simplify the way we do business and make us more efficient by being faster to market and allowing us to increase the scale of our activities across Europe.”

Company representatives said that because consultation with employees is ongoing, they are unable to comment further on the proposals.
