COI has put its £15m public relations roster up for tender. The new roster will be in place for four years.

The agencies will be divided into sets of groups to focus on various “audiences” including UK-wide, nations (Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) and business and international. The brief says that COI will also be seeking agencies that specialise in healthcare, environment and sport.

Neil Martinson, COI director of news and PR, will be leading the review.

“Our aim is to provide excellent communications solutions to government departments and the public sector that secure value for money.

“We want to work with the best. This is a dynamic market that has changed significantly in the past four years. This framework provides a competitive stage for all agencies who can demonstrate insight, creative delivery and engagement with the diverse audiences that make up the UK today,” says Martinson.

COI’s current PR roster includes Band & Brown Communications, Biss Lancaster, Edelman, Fishburn Hedges, Good Relations, Porter Novelli, Luther Pendragon and Weber Shandwick.
