Crown Paints sponsors Blackburn Rovers

Crown Paints is sponsoring Premier League football team Blackburn Rovers in a three-year sponsorship deal worth £5m. It will replace Bet24.com, the Lancashire team’s current sponsor, at the start of next season.

The deal includes shirt sponsorship, perimeter board advertising, corporate hospitality and “ongoing branding” opportunities with the 1994-1995 Premier League champions.

The paint company hopes that the sponsorship will drive brand awareness on both a local and national level. Crown is based in Darwen in Lancashire, and is one of the largest employers in the county.

Crown managing director, Howard Luft, says: “Crown Paints is investing £10m on marketing and promotion, including the new Breatheasy television advertising campaign that is currently airing in the UK. The sponsorship of Blackburn Rovers is a key element of this ongoing communications strategy.”
