Crown Paints sponsors Blackburn Rovers

Crown Paints is sponsoring Premier League football team Blackburn Rovers in a three-year sponsorship deal worth £5m. It will replace, the Lancashire team’s current sponsor, at the start of next season.

The deal includes shirt sponsorship, perimeter board advertising, corporate hospitality and “ongoing branding” opportunities with the 1994-1995 Premier League champions.

The paint company hopes that the sponsorship will drive brand awareness on both a local and national level. Crown is based in Darwen in Lancashire, and is one of the largest employers in the county.

Crown managing director, Howard Luft, says: “Crown Paints is investing £10m on marketing and promotion, including the new Breatheasy television advertising campaign that is currently airing in the UK. The sponsorship of Blackburn Rovers is a key element of this ongoing communications strategy.”
