Daily Mail lures Zenith’s Gorman

The Daily Mail has poached Zenith managing partner Rosemary Gorman to take charge of relations with the paper’s advertising clients.

Gorman, who will be responsible for a sales team of 14, reports to Daily Mail advertising sales director John Teal.

The head of client sales post has remained vacant at the paper for some time.

Gorman says: “The Mail is a strong brand and this is a large part of why I left.

“The paper attracts a lot of advertisers in financial services, cars and retail – and I have experience in those areas. My role will be to increase its strength in these areas and keep the Mail’s profile high in general.”

Gorman has worked for the agency for seven years.

Her duties as a managing partner at Zenith include heading its planning department, which she joined in 1994.

It was made up of two people, but now has 29 staff and billings of &£270m.

Zenith is understood to be drawing up a shortlist of external candidates as a replacement for Gorman.
