Dairy Crest restructure cuts top roles

Dairy Crest is axing two managing directors and a marketing director as part of a cost-cutting restructure.

The liquids, spreads and cheese divisions will be merged into one centralised business in an attempt to streamline departments.

Managing directors for cheese and liquids, Stephen Price and Alan Wallace respectively, will leave the company, while managing director for spreads Jan Lloyd will become director of business development across the group.

Marketing director for liquid products Kevin Mills is the third “casualty of the streamlining operation”, while marketing director for spreads Catherine Mason and marketing controller for cheese Simon Holt will remain in place, though the position of marketing director will no longer exist.

Belinda Gooding remains group marketing director and the business will still be headed by executive managing director Drummond Hall, who will take on a broader role within the group.

Dairy Crest brands include Clover and Willow spreads, Cathedral City cheese and Frijj milkshake.
