Dating site company recruits Greenbee marketer

Dating site operator has appointed former John Lewis marketer Rick Jones as marketing director. (WLD) creates dating sites for brands who wish to associate with this burgeoning online activity. It is currently working with Bauer Media’s FHM and Denis Publishing’s Maxim.

Jones was previously head of marketing at, the services arm of John Lewis. He was responsible for the development and relaunch of the Greenbee brand as well as overseeing marketing of the Partnership’s credit card and loyalty programme.

He is also a previous head of channel marketing at Camelot group where he was responsible for digital marketing and CRM for the National Lottery.

WLD has also appointed Mel Kirk as partner marketing manager. She was previously communities manager for Aardman Animations.

The online dating market is growing and has just been bought by DatingDirect owner Meetic for £27.3 million.
