DDB creates Swine Flu hygiene campaign
The Department of Health is launching a hygiene awareness campaign to help combat the spread of swine flu today (April 30).
The campaign takes in television, print and radio and has been commissioned by the Department of Health.
DDB London has devised the campaign that advises people to wash hands after journeys on public transport, to wipe door handles and other surfaces and to cover their mouth when they sneeze.
The DoH also has a programme to distribute leaflets on swine flu, which originate din Mexico, containing information on preventative measures.
Pork suppliers are keen to see the message rammed home that the virus can not be caught by eating pork products. In the US pork industry groups are lobbying for the virus to simply be called H1N1 to avoid consumer panic.
