Delivery options are in the bag

Having read your article “Deliver us from EU” (MW September 4), I must point out an inaccuracy.

The article stated that “Postcomm intends to open up the entire UK market to competition by 2007. In the meantime, Royal Mail will still make all final deliveries in the UK.”

This is not true. A number of postal operators have been awarded long-term licences by Postcomm allowing door-to-door deliveries, Hays DX being the first.

Our licence has enabled us to offer a range of services to deliver to every business address in the UK.

EasyJet apoints London marketing manager

EasyJet has appointed Louise Garrett as marketing manager for London. She is a former account manager at HHCL/Red Cell where she handled the Go account. EasyJet is also carrying out its first charity coin collection on flights, in support of Cancer Research UK.
