Dennis Publishing rolls out new apps to a range of platforms
Dennis Publishing is to extend its tablet apps into platforms other than iPad later this year.
The publisher, whose magazines include The Week, Maxim and Viz, will retain its iPad apps but will also offer apps for an “extensive” range of other platforms such as Blackberry and HP.
Last week, the publisher launched what it claims is the first digital magazine on the Android operating system in the UK.
IGizmo, which is already published on iPad and a dedicated website, is available to download for free on a variety of Android tablet devices and works on an adfunded business model. However, there are plans to introduce paidfor specials.
