Omnicom Group’s net income for the fourth quarter of last year increased 41 per cent to $119.9m (&£74.9m) from $85.3m (&£53.3m) in the same period in 1998, according to unaudited accounts. Global revenues for the group, whose brands include BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide and TBWA Worldwide, increased 19 per cent to $1.5bn (&£938.8m), up from $1.26bn (&£786.3m). Net income for the 12 months ending December 31 1999 increased 30 per cent to $363m (&£226.9m) from $279m (&£174.4) in 1998. Global revenues increased 20 per cent to $5.13bn (&£3.21bn) in 1999 from $4.29bn (&£2.68m).
