Handbag.com, the women’s interest website, claims the latest ABC Electronic figures show its number of unique users, at 367,000 in November, to be at least double that claimed by any other UK women’s site. Handbag.com continues to be the only website in its sector to have its figures audited by ABC Electronic. Alicen Stenner, head of marketing at Handbag.com, says: “We maintain that Internet measurement is an important part of what we do and are very pleased with the results of this latest audit. The figures show we are the market leader by a considerable gap.”

Camelot has backtracked on its pledge to raise £15bn for good causes over the next seven-year licence, and now says it will only be able to achieve this figure if regulations are changed to give it more freedom to market games.
