The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) has dropped Saatchi & Saatchi in favour of EURO RSCG Wnek Gosper. The move comes one month before CRE head of communications Marjorie Thompson joins Saatchi to head its Cause Connection – a unit which will focus on charity.

Bates Communications has picked up the 5m below-the-line business for Vodafone’s store rebranding after a three-way pitch. The brief is to change the stores, which currently have the Talkland and People’s Phone brand, to the Vodafone name.

The Morgan Partnership has lost the Twinings Nambarrie tea brand to McCann-Erickson Belfast, which has the account in Northern Ireland.

Kickers, the footwear brand owned by the Pentland Group, is understood to be reviewing its 1m advertising account, which is currently with Surrey-based agency TLP.

WPP, the advertising agency network, has added the Addison design company to its portfolio. It bought the company, which specialises in corporate literature design, for about 8.5m.

The Central Office of Information has completed its trawl of ad agencies and is believed to have halved the number on its roster. However, it has recruited new agencies, including McCann-Erickson Manchester, to boost regional and direct marketing experience.

Coca-Cola has launched the third ad in the ‘Diet-Coke Break’ series, although this time the ‘11.30’ reference and Etta James soundtrack have disappeared. The ad centres around four young mums on a shopping spree in London department store Dickins & Jones. The commercial, through Publicis, breaks on Monday and will run until the end of September.

M&C Saatchi account director Mark Wills has been appointed assistant advertising manager for Coca-Cola’s Asian markets. He will be based at Coke’s head office in Atlanta.

Wesleyan Financial Services has added J Walter Thompson to the shortlist for its 10m advertising account. BMP4, DMB&B Financial, BDDH and Wolff Olins are also shortlisted.

Northern Foods is talking to agencies about future strategy and advertising for its sausages and pork pie brands Bowyer’s, Pork Farms and Porkinson’s.
