The Onefootball app offers fans up-to-the-minute news, live scores, match results, in-depth player profiles and reports on UK and pan-European competitions, as well as one-to-one and group messaging features. Launched in 2008, it boasts more than 20 million users.

The Berlin based company was launched by Lucas von Cranach (left), who left his job as assistant to the CEO at domestic heating control specialists Horstmann Group to turn his passion for football into a business.

The company has raised more than $20m (£13.8m) from investors including Earlybird Venture Capital and Union Square Ventures.
