Persado is a “cognitive content” platform that identifies the optimum language and wording for brand communications.
It considers multiple alternative messages and tests the effectiveness of different phrases, words and emotional approaches to come up with wording that is most likely to motivate people.
It bases suggestions on over a million curated and tagged emotional and motivational words, phrases and images, which are scored against response data from more than 40 billion impressions.
Co-founded by Alex Vratskides and Assaf Baciu, both formerly of mobile marketing company Upstream, Persado raised $30m (£21m) of investment in April 2016 in a Series C fundraising round led by Goldman Sachs, bringing total investment up to $66m (£45m).
The New York-based company claims its customers, which include American Express, Microsoft and Verizon Wireless, have seen an average 49.5% increase in conversions across marketing campaigns from using Persado.
