Healthtech startup Vida has recently received the investment it needs to roll out its adult care service to other parts of the country, after piloting its business model in Greater London.

The tech platform enables families to match their own care needs with a professional’s specific skills, gender, culture and location.

Vida is approved by the Care Quality Commission and raised £1m in seed funding earlier this year. The money is being used to open an office in Brighton and negotiate partnerships with local councils. The investors are Hambro Perks, Barnaby Cardwell of Cardwell Technologies, Grima Ventures and a number of angel investors.

Vida was founded by technology entrepreneur Naushard Jabir, who saw a gap in the market for more targeted and personalised healthcare.

The platform performs rigorous background checks on behalf of families and lets care workers improve their skills by accessing Vida workshops.
