Don’t fro a strop in public darling

When the Diary was out to lunch the other day (no quips about its mental health please), it was intrigued to witness the paparazzi in full pester. While munching, the Diary noticed that husky Mariella Frostrup was in the same restaurant dining outside.

Across the street, armed with a long lens, was a dedicated professional photographer – aka Mr Paparazzi – merrily snapping away. Ms Frostrup, obviously wanting to get in on the snapping action herself, crossed the street to have words with him. He politely refused her vehement requests for him to stop and she eventually left, none too happy.

Intrigued by what was said, the Diary approached the man and asked him why he was so interested in her. He replied: “Oh I’m not. I’m here to photograph Kyle McLaughlin [star of Twin Peaks and Sex and the City], but as I was here I thought I’d take some pics of her [Frostrup].”

There’s a lesson to be learnt here, that no matter how famous you think you are, there is always someone more so. And also, if you pester the paparazzi, they’ll pester you more…
