Double-Deckers to enjoy tour of duty for the kids

If the Seventies children’s TV series The Double-Deckers holds a special place in your heart, you’ll be insanely jealous of a group of War Child and Help a London Child fundraisers.

Six twentysomethings are to drive a red double-decker bus 20,000 miles, across 18 countries, through cities, deserts, mountain ranges, forests and jungles from London to Argentina.

The eight-month Redbus Ticket to Ride tour starts in October and hopes to raise &£20,000 for charity. It was inspired by a similar London to Hong Kong trip.

A TV documentary series, book, Website and video are planned and sponsorship opportunities abound. So if you fancy yourself as a real life Double-Decker, there is a competition to find the two UK crew members.
