Dyson media account up for pitch

Dyson, the vacuum cleaner and technology company, is pitching its media planning and buying business.

The account is currently held by Walker Media and the company is on the shortlist for media that has been compiled by intermediary the AAR. The company spends at estimated £4.5m in the UK on advertising.

The company’s advertising in Europe is handled by Leagas Delaney and handled in-house in the UK.

Dyson’s hold on the vacuum cleaner market has been challenged by a number of other brands. Miele launched into the upright vacuum category for the first time in 2008.
