Utility provider e.on has called a review of its 17m media planning and buying business. It is has invited incumbent Initiative to repitch and is also in talks with several undisclosed agencies.

Utility provider e.on has called a review of its £17m media planning and buying business. It is has invited incumbent Initiative to repitch and is also in talks with several undisclosed agencies.

The review does not affect online media planning and buying, which is handled by Zed Media, or its advertising, which is handled by TBWA/London.

The company dropped its Powergen brand last year in order to use its e.on corporate brand. The energy provider also stepped down as the £10m sponsor of the national weather, which it had sponsored for 18 years, and was replaced by insurance company Esure (MW†November 22).
