It is, as they say, the early bird that catches the worm. However, the Diary is always quick to point out that it is not a bird nor does it harbour any desires to catch worms, so it remains a resolutely late riser.
However, it has been emerging from its fetid pit earlier than usual this week to catch up with the wit and wisdom of John McWilliams, chairman and creative director of integrated agency Brandpool.
John has more than 20 years’ experience in the world of advertising, working with the likes of Virgin Atlantic, and formed his own agency, which later merged with Arc Advertising. He is appearing on a TV near you throughout the week in the 7.15am and 8.20am slots on GMTV on ITV1.
He is presenting the "work guru" segment of the show, where according to the GMTV blurb you can "enhance your career prospects with our expert John McWilliams’ top tips".
Whoever said that advertising would never make you famous!
