The first EasyEverything caf̩ was launched in London last June. The company has five shops Рall in London Рand plans to open another 55 in the UK and Europe by 2002. Each caf̩ houses about 500 computers.

The first shops outside the UK will open in Amsterdam on May 29 and Barcelona on August 31.

EasyEverything’s day-to-day marketing has been overseen by EasyGroup chairman and founder Haji-Ioannou after former marketing director Tony Anderson became group head of marketing a year ago.

The new appointment will form part of a broader EasyGroup drive to boost its marketing as it expands.

EasyJet recently lured Thomson Travel Group e-commerce director Mike Cooper to the post of commercial director in the run-up to the airline’s flotation later this year (MW April 20).

Cooper will take over day-to-day responsibility for EasyJet’s sales and marketing across Europe.
