Tomorrow (Thur 18 March), the airline is placing a series of press advertisements to promote its ’Striking Offer’ for British Airways Executive Gold card holders.

The ads highlight the fact that easyJet is offering free speedy boarding plus (priority check-in and boarding) to BA’s Gold card holders on the days that BA flights are disrupted by the strike.

Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK general manager, says: “This is a golden opportunity for BA’s Gold card holders to try life on the other side of the runway.”

Unite is calling strikes for March 20, 21 and 22 and the airline published its flying schedules for the affected period on Monday, aiming to fly 60 per cent of its customers as planned.

It now says that it is to increase its flying schedule for the strike period as larger volumes of cabin crew call the airline to offer to work in support of the company’s contingency operation.
