EDF appoints Euro RSCG to 55m pan-European task

EDF%20logoEDF Energy has handed its £55m (Euro 80m) pan-European account to Euro RSCG Worldwide following a competitive pitch.

The agency won the business following a final shoot-out against Ogilvy, European incumbent Publicis, BMP DDB (now DDB London) and Grey.

The French utilities giant called the pitch in April, putting it on hold in June. Euro RSCG C&O previously had a place on the EDF roster, handling its corporate communications account.

It is not known how the review will affect UK incumbent Maher Bird.

The energy giant recently Jo Steven as its marketing director, replacing Travers Clarke-Walker who moved to director of business development in a marketing reshuffle.
