EDF Energy is supporting its sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympics with a campaign featuring former champions. It says it wants to use the games as a “turning point” in the fight against climate change.
The campaign, which launches on May 26, will promotes EDF Energy’s role as the first sustainability partner of the London Olympics and encourages consumers to save energy by visiting its site. It will run across TV, radio and digital activity.
The work has been created by Euro RSCG and features both London 2012 hopefuls and former champions.
EDF Energy’s brand director, Martin Stead, says the campaign is linked to the company’s climate commitments – announced in June last year – in which it stated it would reduce its customers’ energy consumption by 15% by 2020.
