EHS Brann retains £7m Peugeot DM business after four-way pitch

Peugeot has retained EHS Brann on its £7m direct marketing business, following a five-month review.

The agency beat Carlson Marketing Group, Claydon Heeley Jones Mason and Black Cat in the statutory review, which was overseen by the AAR.

The reappointment to a three-year contract will be a relief to EHS Brann, which was forced to resign its BMW business as a result of a merger between ehsrealtime and Brann Agency UK at the end of last year.

It also lost Guinness UDV (MW April 11) and Eagle Star (MW February 28) accounts, and was forced to make 29 people redundant in May (MW May 20).

EHS Brann, which has held the Peugeot business since 1994, will continue to develop below-the-line work, including telemarketing, with a view to increasing the car company’s brand awareness and customer loyalty. The agency also handles the Mini and Volvo accounts.

Peugeot manager, consumer programmes, Hugh Dickerson says: “EHS Brann confirmed its understanding of Peugeot’s ambition to deliver superior service and communications to customers.”

Creative work for Peugeot will continue to be handled by Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper. OMD UK picked up its media account after a pan-European review.
