Electrolux appoints UK and Ireland MD from Asia

Swedish consumer electronics giant Electrolux has appointed Brad Tribble to the new role of vice-president and managing director of Electrolux Major Appliances UK and Ireland. He will take up the position on January 1.

Tribble, who is currently president of its East Asia region, will lead the growth of the UK and Ireland division and will “play a significant role” in the European sales management team. He will report to Roger Taylor, Electrolux senior vice-president of sales for Europe.

Taylor says Tribble’s knowledge of the Electrolux business will help him
integrate into the European business.

Tribble’s appointment follows a number of changes at the company over the past year. Taylor, who was previously vice-president of Electrolux UK and Ireland, was promoted to his current role in April as part of a restructure of the business (MW April 18). It also led to UK brand and marketing director Andy Mackay leaving the company after 19 years (MW May 17). Mackay’s role has now been scrapped.

Last month, it appointed senior Hoover Candy marketer Steve Holton to the
new role of product and brand director (MW October 10). He has a remit to manage the product and brand
marketing teams and is responsible for strategic commercial planning.
