Energy provider to build SCV

Energy provider Scottish and Southern Energy is building a single view of its customers and prospects to act as a sales and marketing data pool.

SSE has appointed Callcredit Marketing Solutions to take a subset of customer data, enhance it with Core prospect files, cleanse and append with telephone numbers, Cameo classifications and credit pre-screening, as well as a number of existing predictive models. The SCV will be used to target one million contacts via direct mail and telesales each month.

Ian Wood, head of sales process at SSE, says: “This new data pool will give us the ability to target our Home Services products to all relevant prospects in the UK. Not only will it help us control our acquisition cost and achieve process efficiencies, it will also reduce campaign execution timescales.”
