Eurostar appoints OMG to handle affiliate marketing brief

Eurostar has handed its affiliate marketing account to the Online Media Group (OMG) Network after a competitive pitch against undisclosed agencies. It is thought that incumbent TradeDoubler repitched for the business.

The train company, which recently began operating from St Pancras, is establishing an affiliate programme for the US market and is developing its operations in the UK and French markets. The agency will start work on the business in the New Year.

The programme covers both train ticket and holiday sales as Eurostar seeks to increase the amount of traffic from the US to its UK based site. OMG and Eurostar are also in negotiations over programmes for other territories.

Oli Matthews, managing director of OMG says: “We were able to demonstrate that we can run programmes across territories and in different languages, which is something that is increasingly required by the biggest brands.”

OMG also handles the affiliate accounts lingerie brand Agent Provocateur and RBS Insurance.
