FA to launch England-branded laptops

The English Football Association has signed a licensing deal with computer manufacturer Hi-Grade to produce a range of England-branded laptops, launching before the end of this year.

The machines will feature England football branding, including the Three Lions crest and are expected to retail at around £300.

The FA deal, through its licensing arm CPLG, is designed to extend the reach of the England brand into a new sector. The computers will be aimed at younger football fans.

Hi-Grade is the UK’s largest laptop manufacturer. Marketing director Ori Yiassournis says: “The licence is another opportunity to create a sought-after laptop, which is also affordable to the younger football supporting generation.”

Najmie Allette, FA licensing executive, adds: “This is a desirable product for any England football fan, we strive to give consumers new product choices to show their support for the national football team.”

The FA has owns the rights to the Three Lions crest as well as the current England squad and the FA Cup, it has deals covering sports gear, apparel, souvenirs and collectibles.
