Fat marketers always start at the bottom

Every marketer has to start somewhere and at Chrysalis’s Galaxy 105 they make sure it’s firmly at the bottom.

Its marketing assistant Jimmy Endicott was roped into dressing as a John Prescott lookalike to promote the Yorkshire station’s fourth birthday promotion. The Diary can only presume that fourth birthdays are some sort of landmark in Yorkshire.

Fat Boy Jim, as he is called, has been prowling the cities up North encouraging people to listen to the station. But the Diary thinks that the fumes from the foam have given young Jim delusions of grandeur.

He says: “The ladies love a fat boy, I’ve even been offered knickers in return for the cash giveaways we’ve got.” – Have they Jim?
