Findus to target World Cup fans

Frozen food company Findus will launch an advertising campaign targeting FIFA World Cup fans.

The print campaign, created by Grey Worldwide London, will appear in national and Sunday newspapers from June 2.

The four-ad series features practical ways in which fans can use Findus frozen vegetables to ease the strain of watching the World Cup. Attention is drawn to the potential injuries inflicted on armchair football supporters. One execution, ‘Penalty Stress Head’, shows a pack of frozen vegetables relieving a headache; ‘1-0 Celebration’ shows the product healing an injured ankle; ‘Armchair Ache’ features a woman resting a packet on her back; and ‘Drinker’s elbow’ shows the frozen vegetables easing elbow strain. The cross of St George is used as a background for each of the ads.
