Former EMAP chief takes lead role at Aegis

Former EMAP marketing chief David Pullan has joined Aegis Media as president of its Service Solutions Group. Pullan, who left EMAP consumer magazines in February, will lead future strategy and product development.

It has also expanded the responsibilities of Nigel Morris, chief executive of research arm Isobar, who will oversee the team globally. The media company, parent group of Carat and Vizeum, says the team will help “future proof” its business.

Aegis Media chief executive Mainardo de Nardis (pictured) says: “We need to keep pushing our offer, ensuring we deliver the optimal solutions to clients and future-proofing our own business.” He says the work will benefit clients nationally and globally.

A spokesman says that the dedicated team will drive innovation and harness best practice from around the group, to create and roll-out integrated communications service solutions.

Morris will also chair a Service Solutions Board, with representatives from Carat, Vizeum and Isobar from Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Pullan is the former brand strategy and marketing director ECM and was worldwide managing director of FHM. Prior to joining EMAP in 2004, he was director of strategy and marketing for Five and led the channel’s relaunch in 2002. He has also held roles at MTV Networks, the BBC and Bertelsmann Music Group.
