Fremantle rolls out X Factor karaoke booths

X%20FactorFremantle Media has signed a series of licensing deals for The X Factor show, which includes a trial of branded karaoke booths in shopping centres.

The booths, which will launch later this month, allow consumers to select a song and perform it in front of stage graphics from the TV show and it is recorded on to DVD for users to take away.

Fremantle has also signed deals to create a glossy hardback coffee table book with Headline Publishing and electronic toys such as a dance mat, disco ball and microphone through Mookie Toys. The booths have been created by Eclipse Games.

The licensing deals come weeks after Fremantle signed deals with retailers Comet, Superdrug and Argos to support the show and promote branded merchandise and products in stores.
