Friends Reunited marketing chief takes wider ITV role

ITV has appointed Friends Reunited marketing director Tim Ward to a group marketing role for ITV Consumer, the division responsible for the broadcaster’s interactive, online and mobile operations. It comes as Friends Reunited co-owners Michael Murphy and Rob Mogford will also step down from the company.

Friends%20Reunited%20The move, which comes three years after ITV acquired the social networking site, is part of a wider restructure of Friends Reunited Group, which will see Trinity Mirror digital executive Andy Baker join as managing director.

Murphy, who is currently chief executive and finance director Mogford will step down later this year, although Murphy will move to the Friends Reunited board as a non-executive director.

Baker’s responsibilities will cover the Friends Reunited group, including the Genes Reunited and Friends Reunited dating brands. He will join during the summer, from Trinity Mirror where he is group director of digital recruitment.
