German wine goes down under

Ad agency banc has been saddled with the task of setting the record straight about German wine-drinking habits – and has come up with the catchline “If you think you know German wine, drink again”.

As part of the drive, German wine bottles have also undergone a facelift, with new labels featuring modern art designs, and Australian-style brand names such as Angel Reef and Devil’s Rock being preferred to Liebfraumilch and Hock.

So if you thought German drinking sessions were about leather shorts, silly hats and bottomless pots of beer, trinken again.
