Guardian Media Group (GMG) Radio is launching a major new interactive competition that will involve 8,000 contestants playing at any one time.

Cash Attack will see contestants battle to answer multi-choice questions in the quickest time using the touch tone keypad on their phone. There will be prizes of £5,000 per night.

The quiz will be broadcast on Sunday evenings between 11pm and 1am and will run across Real and Century Radio Networks across Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire, the North West and North East.

GMG has appointed USP Content to produce the interactive show, which will be broadcast from its Oxford Street studios. It will be run jointly with Eckoh Technologies, which operates interactive premium rate phone lines.
