GMG Radio promotes Taylor to deputy chief exeuctive

GMG Radio, the radio arm of Guardian Media Group (GMG) has promoted Stuart Taylor to deputy chief executive. His new role will be in addition to his existing responsibilities as commercial director of GMG Radio and managing director of Smooth Radio London.

The former Guardian News & Media commercial director moved to the radio division in the middle last year, where he was charged with working on its commercial strategy and building cross platform initiatives among the GMG brands.

John Myers, chief executive of GMG Radio, says Taylor will play a big part in the future plans of the business. He says: “”As our business grows it’s important to ensure we have the appropriate structures and succession plans in place.

GMG Radio operates regional stations across the UK under the Real Radio, smooth Radio, Century Radio and Rock Radio brands.
