GNER and EnjoyEngland tie up to promote coastal tourism
Train operator GNER and tourism body EnjoyEngland are launching a joint advertising campaign to promote famous landmarks along GNER’s East Coast Main Line.
A television campaign, which will break in the first week of January, will feature landmarks in London, Newcastle, York and Leeds and will promote things to do in the cities. GNER is offering discount fares as part of the campaign.
Amanda Smyth, EnjoyEngland marketing manager, says: “We hope our promotion with GNER will help raise awareness of the wonderful and surprising experiences that await visitors in their own country.”
The campaign follows a joint outdoor poster campaign that ran across London Underground and poster sites along the GNER route earlier this year.
The campaign has been created by GNER incumbent Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest and Farm Communications, which handles the advertising for EnjoyEngland. The media planning and buying was handled by Carat.
