Google launches new search engine

Google is launching a new version of its search engine, called Google Co-op, to encourage more website owners to include its technology on their sites.

The company describes the service as a “customised search engine” that will allow users to tailor the search results so customers only receive relevant content. It will allow companies to decide which sites to include or exclude from any searches.

Website owners will also be able to modify the search results so they appear under their own brand.

The new service will link in to Google’s AdSense programme, which rewards website owners with revenue when users click on the Google ads displayed on their site. It has been launched today (Tuesday) in the UK and US.
