Harris lands top marketing role at Nokia

Nokia has appointed former O2 marketing chief Will Harris as UK marketing director. Harris, who starts his new role in October, replaces Simon Lloyd, who left to join The Number 118 118 earlier this year (MW April 19).

Harris, who is also a former marketing director of the Conservative Party, joins Nokia from Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) company Rebtel, where he has been strategy director for the past six months. He will report to UK managing director Simon Ainslie at Nokia.

Harris takes on a beefed up marketing role at the Finnish handset manufacturer. He will be board-level marketing director, whereas Lloyd’s title was head of marketing.

Ainslie says: “We are delighted to have Will joining us to complete the UK management team. Having someone of his experience and stature will really help us build on the success of the Nokia brand.”
