Heineken names UK marketing chief

Heineken UK has drafted in Jacco van der Linden to oversee marketing for brands including Foster’s, Heineken, Strongbow and John Smith’s.

He joins from Heineken group owned Nigerian Breweries, where he was a board-level marketing director, and replaces Sarah Warby, who left in June.

Stefan Orlowski, managing director for Heineken in the UK, says that Van der Linden, who has held several senior marketing jobs at Heineken since joining in 1999, will be charged with focussing on its “brands-led agenda” and “further accelerating innovation across the beer and cider categories in the UK.”
