Henkel unveils high street hair salons

Henkel, the German detergent and personal care company, is planning to launch a high street cosmetics salon chain next year.

It is understood that Schwarzkopf & Henkel, the personal care division of the consumer goods company in the UK, is in talks with potential partners about supplying services such as hairdressing.

Henkel’s salon will follow the launch of butler-style personal services in Germany and the UK, which the company unveiled last week (MW June 28).

Director of e-business development Ralf Heine denies Henkel’s outlet will resemble Unilever’s Lynx chain of male haircare salons, but declines to give any further details.
