Homebase launches value range and click and collect

Homebase, the DIY retailer owned by Home Retail Group has launched a value range and a reserve and collect service.

The range includes more than 300 home essentials for DIY, the garden and decorating. Price range from 99p and there are 150 items available for under £5.

The reserve and collect service is being rolled out following a 25-store trial.

The service will allow customers to place an order online to reserve and item, and collect it in store within four trading hours.

Homebase is laucnhing an email marketing campaign to promote the service.

The launch of the value range is being supporting with a range of above and below the line communication, including TV, press, direct mail and email.

All marketing communication will include the strap line “everyday essentials at low prices”

Ajay Kavan, Homebase director of marketing & strategy, says: “In the current retail climate, customers are increasingly looking for value and convenient ways of shopping. The launch of Homebase value lines and our Reserve & Collect service are just two examples of a range of improvements we are making for our customers.”
