Howard’s way isn’t diplomatic

Four-eyed Halifax front-man Howard Brown has become something of an advertising guru, it seems. At last week’s Delaney Lund Knox Warren bash, he was holding forth – to a rapt audience – on the subject of his favourite current commercials.

Apparently, the best ads on television at the moment are Citroën’s baffling dancing transformer, and Volkswagen’s creepy Singin’ in the Rain pastiche – neither of which were made by his host. If the Diary were DLKW’s creative team, Howard might be spending less time swanning about in silk pyjamas and more time doing assault courses in his next campaign.
