Hugo Drayton appointed CEO of InSkin Media

Hugo Drayton, former CEO at controversial behavioural targeting firm Phorm, has been appointed CEO of InSkin Media.

Drayton left Phorm in December after two years heading the company but remains an advisor to the board.

InSkin Media, which works by wrapping an ad around a publisher’s media player to allow visitors to click on a brand’s ad while still viewing the video, has partnerships with the Telegraph Media Group, Tiscali and Dennis Publishing.

Drayton has previously worked as MD of the Telegraph Group and MD, Europe at Advertising.com.

Hugo Drayton said, “InSkin is an irresistible opportunity for me. It combines the explosion in online video consumption, the ability to drive significant new revenues for publishers, and a dynamic new, tailored opportunity for creative agencies and advertising clients.”

Phil Townend, previously associate director of sales house IDS, joined InSkin Media last month (nma.co.uk 9 December 2008).
