Hush Puppies is planning to launch three footcare ranges in March next year.

The company says that the BodyMoc range, aimed at 18- to 35-year-old men, will combat athlete’s foot and foot odour by killing more than 99 per cent of bacteria in contact with the insole. Shoes from the range will be guaranteed for life.

Hush Puppies is also due to unveil a range of children’s footwear fitted with Hygienilac insoles, an anti-bacterial material. It will also trial women’s shoes with gel-cushioned soles, called Liquisole, which are an integral part of the footwear.

However, the company has reduced its plans to introduce a full range of Liquisole products, preferring to gauge the success on a small scale during the spring/summer 2006 season. Plans have yet to be finalised for the marketing support of the BodyMoc range.
