Impetus has an out-of-tree experience

There’s more than one way to wish customers a merry Christmas. Instead of sending cards, why not dress your staff up as a saucy fairy and a fir tree and drive them in a van around to clients’ offices to hand out mince pies? This is what experiential firm Impetus did this week. Using their understanding of unusual experiences, the costumes in which they decked some of their staff members were carefully chosen for maximum impact. The Diary knows which one it prefers.

Another firm with a novel Christmas offering is design agency Moving Brands. The front window of its studio has been filled with fairy lights, which are hooked up to the internet so that visitors to its website can create their own design. You can interact with the "card" via your computer by visiting twinkle.movingbrands.com.

Agency Isobel also cashed in by branding the crackers at the Marketing Society Christmas lunch last week.

These came with a health warning about the quality of the jokes lurking inside – unlike those that came from some of the speakers.
