invescoInvesco Perpetual has appointed Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners to handle its £5m integrated advertising account. The appointment was made after a five-way pitch against undisclosed agencies.

The review was overseen by marketing director Rick White and was called after it parted ways with Shop in April.

Invesco appointed Shop in February 2006 after a pitch against Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, Maher Bird Associates and then incumbent, The Gate.

The bulk of activity is spent in national press, outdoor and online. DLKW will handle both above-the-line and digital activity for the brand.

Invesco Perpetual invests in pension funds, ISAs and other products on behalf of consumers and institutions. It is based in Oxfordshire and was known first as Perpetual Mutual, then as Perpetual, before merging with Invesco in December 2000.

It is headed by chief executive Bob Yerbury who was promoted to the role in 2004 after more than 20 years with the business. Invesco Perpetual is part of independent global investment manager Invesco, which rebranded from Amvescap in 2006.

Previous advertising has featured the mountain symbol, which was used by Perpetual until the merger in 2000, before being scrapped and reintroduced in 2005.

White says: “This is an important partnership and we wanted to be sure that we chose the agency whose strategic thinking and creative ability were the best fit with our own aspirations.”
