Ipsos MORI names new chief

Market research firm Ipsos MORI has appointed Ben Page as chief executive of its UK and Ireland business.

Page steps up from his current role as head of Ipsos MORI’s public sector practice and replaces Mike Everett who will take on a new global role on the Ipsos Group management board.

The appointment comes as Ipsos Group reports net profit increased 10.8% last year, boosted by a strong performance from Ipsos MORI in the UK.

Turnover in the UK grew 11% to £128.1m last year which drove a 5.6% upturn in group revenues to €979.3m (£862m).

Everett claims Ipsos MORI out-performed other research organisations last year due its “high quality, expert research”.

“In 2009, Ipsos MORI will continue to provide companies with the information they need to prosper in these difficult times.”

Page joined Ipsos in 1987 as a graduate trainee. He will take up his new role on June 1.
