Swedish Match referred to European Court of Justice

Swedish Match’s case challenging the legality of the European Union’s ban on oral snuff has been referred to the European Court of Justice by a German court. A UK court case (MW October 10, 2002) will now be suspended until the ECJ rules on the issue.
